Warm introductions and referrals

Get a warm introduction at the company you want

Data Reaktor shows who can introduce you at a company. It checks your LinkedIn Connections.csv and your résumé against the people it finds there, scores each path from 0 to 100 (someone you know, a former colleague, an alum, a mutual connection, or cold), and drafts either a note to the person or an intro request to the contact who can connect you.

How it works

  1. Name the companies you want. Type a company, a few companies, or paste a job link you found. Not sure where to start? Data Reaktor suggests companies that are hiring for the role you want.
  2. See who can get you in. Each person gets a warm-path score from 0 to 100: someone you know, a former colleague, a fellow alum, a mutual connection, or a cold path. Import your LinkedIn Connections.csv and your résumé to find the warm ones.
  3. Ask the right person. With a mutual connection, the draft is an intro request to that connection, naming the person you want to meet. With a former colleague or a fellow alum, it is a note that names what you share.
  4. Follow up on time. Mark a note sent and it goes on your follow-up list for about five business days later. Turn on reminder emails if you want a nudge.

Where warm paths come from

Your LinkedIn Connections.csv (from LinkedIn's own data export), the employers and schools on your résumé, and what is public about the people at the company. Data Reaktor never logs into LinkedIn.

Every path says why it is warm, so you can check it before you write.

What Data Reaktor never does

  • It never sends a message for you. You copy the note and send it from your own LinkedIn or email.
  • It never logs into LinkedIn or fetches LinkedIn pages. People come from public pages and search results, each with a link to the source.
  • It never guesses email addresses. An email is shown only when a public page prints it.

Questions people ask

How do I get a referral at a company?

Find someone who knows you or knows the person you want to reach, and ask for one specific thing. Data Reaktor ranks who can introduce you at the company you name and drafts that ask; you send it yourself.

How does Data Reaktor know who I know?

From the Connections.csv you export from LinkedIn and upload, and from the employers and schools on your résumé. Your connections stay private to your account.

What if I have no connections at the company?

You still get the people inside, ranked, and a cold note with one true, specific reason to write: a talk they gave, a post, or a role their team posted.
